[Satan] stabs me, making breach after breach and attacking again and again; he runs at me like a giant… (Job 16:14 AMP)

Some people don’t believe in giants. They believe if they live holy, faith-filled lives in Messiah Jesus that giants don’t really exist for them today. But that doesn't make them any less real. In fact, throughout the generations our Father’s never-failing Word has instructed His people concerning “giants” [or, “Nephilim”, Strong’s H5303], clearly explaining how they were born when the fallen sons of YHWH (angels) intermingled their seed with the daughters of man (Gen 6:4), and that He raised up several men to wipe them out: Moses (Jos 13:12), David (1 Sam 17 and 2 Sam 21:22), Sibbecai (2 Sam 21:18), and Elhanan (2 Sam 21:19). Today, since there is no further mention of these “giants” in the writings of the New Testament, I think we can safely conclude these men of YHWH were successful in their assignment of annihilating the physical “giants” of those days.

However, to fully understand the enemy we face today, it’s vital to remember, again, that all those “giants” of yesterday were born of rebellious fallen angels, meaning, they were born of Satan. Therefore, when YHWH’s men destroyed their giant fleshly bodies thousands of years ago, their evil spirits returned to their father, Satan, just as our spirits, being born of Father-YHWH, return to Him. And just as we DO still exist in the spiritual realm once we die, so do they; it’s these spiritual forces that are the “giants” we face today. Surely, then, the devil’s purpose for these evil spirits remains the same now as when they dwelt in fleshly bodies in days of old: to make the battle (problem) look too big and Abba-YHWH’s Word (Promises) look too small. (Num 13:33; Deut 1:28; 1 Sam 17:4; 2 Sam 21:20; 1 Chro 20:6)

If any of us are facing spiritual “giants” today, we can be sure the devil commanded them to rise against us because we’re doing something that threatens his kingdom. Nothing more. Nothing less. So let’s never run in fear of the giants’ evil spirits but, instead, begin thanking Abba-YHWH for allowing us to discern their evil presence and wicked works upon the earth. For their interference in any situation is actually proof (an indicator) that we must be heading on the right path after all, which leads to fulfilling Elohim’s good plan for our lives, in the name of Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach, Messiah Jesus of Nazareth. Amen.
