“Do not repay anyone evil for evil…Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” (Rom 12:17,19 NIV)
The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and HIS GLORY is to overlook a transgression. (Pro 19:11 NKJV)
Our Elohim designed us to have many kinds of emotions, yes, even righteous anger. Without them could we ever know thankfulness, contentment, joy, compassion for others, love Abba-YHWH with all our hearts or our neighbors as ourselves? However, vengeance is not an Elohim-given emotion but is a wicked, chosen RESPONSE to anger. For Abba-YHWH said vengeance is His—NOT ours!
I know this is a hard Word today considering witnessing all the evil unfolding in the world around us. Therefore, I pray Abba-YHWH help us turn from this response of vengeance to praying for His Justice, instead, in the Name and by the Blood of Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach, Messiah Jesus of Nazareth. Amen.
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him… (Prov 24:17-18 NKJV)
