HIDDEN MANNA~Daily Bites: Ask

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”.   (Matt 7:7  NIV)

“…for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom!”  (Luke 12:32  AMP)

Have you ever thought you’re asking too much from Abba-YHWH, fearing you might appear ungrateful for all He’s done for you already, or, even that you’ll appear greedy in His eyes because you keep on asking for more and more good things in life?

I certainly have before, but I’ve learned to press through those thoughts now, remembering how our Abba-Father, Jehovah-Jireh, loves to give good things—blessings in every area of our lives—to those who love Him.  And what does our Elohim tell us is His evidence that we love Him? Well, as it is written, His proof of our love for Him is witnessing our obedience to His Word.  (John 14:15)   Therefore, when we choose to live daily showing our love for Him through such obedience, when we pray asking Father to bless us with more and more increase as written in Psalm 115:14, are we not actually asking Him to engage in more and more pleasure in one of His most favorite activities, giving every good and every perfect gift to His beloved children?

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father…  (James 1:17  NASB)

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!   (Matt 7:11  NIV)

You do not have, because you do not ask.  (James 4:2  AMP)
