HIDDEN MANNA~Daily Bites: Courage

July 9

…”Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God—my God—will be with you.  He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all…”    (1 Chron  28:20  NKJV)

Strength, courage and boldness are required for pursuing our Elohim-ordained destinies, as all the enemy forces striving to kill, steal and destroy us will surely be stirred up once we begin to truly step in Abba-YHWH’s “good plan” for our lives.

Admittedly, I was once devoted to the belief that it's best to let sleeping dogs lay; that security lays in mediocrity.  However, little by little Father has delivered me from that stronghold of containment, causing my heart to long for the vast, limitless possibilities beyond the horizon of such erroneous, self-confining and life-hindering thoughts. He taught me it's imperative in discovering and fulfilling His purpose for our lives that we understand courage is neither supernatural strength nor superhuman ability, but a devoted, fiercely determined willingness to walk with Him through our fears. And even though the journey can seem quite lonely, dismayingly hard and painful to endure at times, remember this during the many multi-seasoned paths of our life journeys: it's impossible to discover any new and wondrous oceans of Elohim’s specifically designed purpose for each of our lives unless we're first willing to leave those safe-feeling, life-hindering and destiny-stagnating familiar shores.

Max Lucado writes in The Applause of Heaven:

“We need to remember that the disciples were common men given a compelling task.  Before they were the stained-glass saints in the windows of cathedrals, they were somebody’s next-door neighbors trying to make a living and raise a family.  They weren’t cut from theological cloth or raised on supernatural milk.  But they were an ounce more devoted then they were afraid and, as a result, did some extraordinary things.”

I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken…  (Psa 37:25)

And those who know Your Name trust in You, For You have not forsaken those who seek You, O YHWH.  (Psa 9:10  ISR ’98)
