And the angel came to her and said, “Shalom to you, full of favor; our Adon is with you, blessed of mankind.    (Luke 1:28  HRVS)

According to the Torah and the Prophets (the “Old Testament” writings)—which is all Mary would have known in her time—surely Yeshua’s mother must have loved our Heavenly Father and His Word with all her heart and soul to have found such favor with Him. (Deut 10:12-13)

Abba-YHWH said His eyes “run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” (2 Chron 16:9)  Well, we can certainly see from Mary’s story what a wondrous thing it is to obtain such favor from Elohim once He’s found someone HE CAN TRUST to fulfill such an important role in His eternal plan.   But we must always remember this:  just because we’ve found favor with YHWH doesn’t mean our appointed task is going to be easy.  Au contraire!  WHY would the Almighty search so intently throughout the whole earth just to find someone to do something easy for Him?   No, Elohim’s eyes are looking to and fro the whole earth for someone strong enough in Him and in His Word to endure the opposing trials, tests and tribulations that He is able show Himself strong in as He trains us up in the way we should go.  (1 Pet 1:7; Pro 22:6) 

As we can see, Elohim’s favor isn’t granted in our lives only to help us overcome our own daily battles, but to empower us with His never-failing Love that we can lay our own lives down, just as Mary did, for the sake of fulfilling His Kingdom’s purpose.  In the Name and by the Blood of Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach, Messiah Jesus of Nazareth.  Amen.
