ADONAI, God, does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared. Who will not fear? ADONAI, God, has spoken. Who will not prophesy? (Amos 3:7,8 CJB)
It’s easy to underestimate the power of praying and prophesying, especially since life has a way of consuming the thoughts of man: there are children to raise, bills to pay, businesses to conduct, errands to run, relationships to nurture, meals to prepare—there’s always work to be done! And our enemy plots to keep our thoughts consumed with all these cares, every single day, to ensure we don’t have time to interfere with his own works of dominating the world with evil.
While some teachings of man have made praying and prophesying complicated and long-winded, they really aren’t that way at all. Prayer is simply speaking with our Father in Heaven, agreeing with what He’s already spoken in His Word. And prophesying is simply speaking that Word aloud. Merely thinking YHWH’s Word doesn’t activate its power to save us; it must be spoken, for angels cannot heed what they cannot hear. (Psa 103:20) Furthermore, Our Elohim first spoke all of creation into existence, so as His children, made in His image, would He not require the same of us? (1 Cor 4:16; 11:1; Heb 6:12; 3 John 1:11)
We must understand that Abba-YHWH’s knowledge defies worldly knowledge, meaning, His Word won’t always make sense to our natural way of thinking. Have you ever thought He told you to do something but immediately talked yourself out of it, thinking it just didn’t make any sense according to the world’s natural ways? Well, I can’t help but wonder if that’s why Mary, Messiah’s mother, told the servants at the wedding party, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Apparently, she already knew her Son’s instructions would seem illogical to them. However, when the servants obeyed His EXACT instructions, Yeshua added YHWH’s “super” to their “natural”, causing the blessing and celebration of life to continue even better than it had before! (John 2:1-11)
Therefore, because our Father never changes, I know He’s speaking the very same to us today: “Whatever He says to you, do it.” He doesn’t want us consumed with the cares of the world because, if we are, we won’t be taking time to pray and prophesy. For it’s our prayers to Abba-YHWH and speaking aloud what He’s already spoken in His Word that makes a way for Him to intervene in the affairs of man, in the Name and by the Blood of Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach, Messiah Jesus of Nazareth. Amen.
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. (2 Chron 16:9 NKJV)
