When Yeshua had finished these parables, he left and went to his home town. There he taught them in their synagogue in a way that astounded them, so that they asked, “Where do this man’s wisdom and miracles come from? Isn’t he the carpenter’s son? …So where does he get all this?” And they took offense at him…And he did few miracles there because of their lack of trust. (Matt 13:53-58 CJB)
Who do we say Yeshua, Jesus of Nazareth, is? Is He merely just the carpenter’s son, or, is He the Messiah—the Burden-Removing, Yoke-Destroying, Anointed (All-Empowered) One of YHWH, the Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? Our outcome hangs on our answer; as we see clearly here He does “few miracles” where there is unbelief or lack of trust. For our concept of who our Messiah truly is determines all Abba-YHWH does or does not do in our lives.
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" (Matt 16:15 NKJV)
