It was beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches; for its roots went down to abundant waters. (Eze 31:7 ESV)
Patience is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22), and the same Law of creation exists for spiritual fruit as it does for natural fruit: before any kind of fruit-bearing plants can be produced, seeds must be sown and then strong, deep roots must be developed first.
The battles I’ve endured while writing these devotionals for the Kingdom of YHWH have been intense at times, to say the least. But through it all, I’ve learned the devil really doesn’t care how deeply I believe Abba-YHWH’s Word is true, he just wants me to believe it isn’t true for ME.
During one of these battles while in the days of small beginnings, I became overwhelmingly discouraged in my work, questioning Father if this is really what I’m called to do. I asked Him, “Where’s the fruit? Shouldn’t there be evidence of Your blessing upon my work if it’s indeed from You? I’ve toiled all this time but there’s still no visible fruit. Please don’t let me be found to be fighting against You.” (Acts 5:38-39)
By His infinite grace, Abba-YHWH answered me, “You’ve been planting seed, Daughter, and before the harvest can be seen with your eyes, the seed must first grow beneath the soil in order to develop good, deep roots. So don’t be dismayed, for a great work is being done right now beyond where your eyes can see. If you’ll let My work of patience be perfected in you—if you won’t give up before all My perfecting work in all you’ve sown is finished—then in due season you shall indeed reap the fruit of your seed.”
…do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through belief and patience inherit the promises. (Heb 6:12 NIV)
"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow." (1Cor 3:6 NKJV)
