Many years back, I had a remarkably moving experience watching Nigerian performers sing praise music from their homeland. But it wasn’t their colorful, intricately embroidered garments or the unique, upbeat tempo of their music that most intrigued me. It was their power; they manifested the kind of spiritual power only achieved through personal, revelation knowledge of Abba-YHWH our Elohim.

Satanic cults and demonic rituals are flagrantly practiced in their part of the world, so these people were no stranger to the manifestations of the powers of darkness. Many of us born and raised in other parts of the world are unable to fully comprehend this deep understanding of the spiritual realm since we’ve not been exposed to it in the same way. But those who have, there’s no doubt there are indeed two opposing powers constantly at work in the unseen realm: the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of Light. This was the kind of revelation power these Nigerian brothers and sisters exhibited that day. As they united their beautiful voices worshipping the Name above all names, it was like power surged out of them, spreading across the congregation in what I can only describe as awesome waves of spiritual energy. It felt like an electrical surge cracked in the atmosphere as they began to sing in one accord, crumbling any encroaching forces of darkness in that place with the sound of the stunning power of YHWH emitting from their voices.

Our Father, YHWH-Nissi, provided keys of knowledge in His Word exposing our enemy and the many-varied strategies of the evil forces of darkness, ensuring those who love Him and remain in His Word are not ignorant of the devil’s devices. (2 Cor 2:11) Therefore, if we’re to cause the same powerful retreat of evil spirits as these amazing Nigerian singers did, then we better make sure our enemy knows us, too, through our knowledge of and obedience to Abba-YHWH’s Almighty Word, Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach, Messiah Jesus of Nazareth. Amen. (Rev 19:13)
