A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies… (Prov 31:10 AMP)
When considering all the characteristics and personal attributes of the woman described above, it’s easy for women in this era of busy-ness (or, “the microwave generation”) to feel inadequate and devalued by comparison. However, our loving Father did not provide this example of a daughter of Elohim to condemn us for our own shortcomings, but to provide a successful role model for us to imitate. (Heb 6:12)
The Proverbs’ woman is shown as trustworthy, peaceable, charitable, committed, wise, and responsible. She accomplishes many things in her life: she’s a wife, mother, homemaker, teacher, peacemaker, confidant, investor, gardener, cloth maker, seamstress, designer and trader of good things, business woman, distributor, speaker, and intercessor—to name just a few. But, remember, all that a daughter of Elohim is, all she learns and accomplishes in life is developed in her not all at once, but through a process. She is NEVER all of these things at one time. As she matures in knowing Abba-YHWH’s ways, HE graduates her to each progressive level of glory in Him, little by little, increasing her more and more, one small step at a time. (2 Cor 3:18; Exo 23:30; Psa 115:14)
Therefore beloved sisters in Messiah, let’s go easy on ourselves when feeling like we fall short of Father’s glory when comparing ourselves to His example of this daughter of Elohim. For Abba-YHWH, alone, is the Master Author and Creator of His good plan for our lives—NOT US—so only He can bring it to full completion, in His own time. (Heb 12:2; Psa 138:8)
Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]! (Prov 31:30 AMP)
