You may have heard of the Dark Night of the Soul - This is the polar opposite. It is about healing, release, and forgiveness.
Light Night of the Soul isn't a term you can Google, I made it up after a dream series I had one night that was cathartic. In the dream I saw myself apologizing to people for things I knew I had done wrong. When I woke up, I felt lighter!
I then decided to take this dream and do it in reality.
I sat and thought about everyone I had hurt. Even if the cause wasn't entirely my fault, my involvement and continuance in the situation was my responsibility.
I contacted each person and apologized.
The apology was the point.
How they took it was secondary.
Some were appreciative and gracious and happy, others told me to go F myself. Either way, my load was lightened, and honestly so was theirs even if they did not accept.
This is a massive energetic dump. It is not easy but it is worth it. I highly suggest doing this.
They do this as one of the steps in AA and I can see why. You don't have to be an alcoholic to have been a jerk at some point... and let's face it, we all have been. If you can heal yourself and release energetic ties as well as potentially help someone else heal and do the same, why wouldn't you?
