This morning an acquaintance of mine sent me an attachment linked video of a Ron DeSantis “campaign” ad, that was obviously funded by a Super PAC. He simply asked me what my thoughts were about it? So I took a moment to view it and analyze it. But I didn’t immediately get back to him because my inquisitive meter was going off. My very first thought was that I needed to know who the “Never Back Down” group is, and what are its political affiliations. I quickly got my answer.
If you haven’t yet seen the ad spot, I urge you to check it out in the first link below. Then check the other two links just for reference. What you’ll find is that this PAC belongs to the republican establishment swamp creatures. Now what’s clear here is that this particular ad is not endorsed by Ron DeSantis. Which means that this PAC appears to be floating the idea of DeSantis as a presidential candidate. If I had to game theory this out, I would venture to say that they’re probably attempting to heavily influence and lure away Trump voters who are on the fence. Perhaps some independents who are skittish about a Trump reelection bid, and maybe even some moderate democrats. But personally, I’m not so sure that this ad even cuts through the current political fog.
It’s a nice ad. I’ll give them that. But DeSantis in my opinion is falling behind the curve, simply because he lacks real national appeal. Sure, everyone knows his name and what he’s done for the state of Florida as its governor. But honestly; how does his resume actually translate nationally? The further he gets away from Florida, the more polarizing of a figure he becomes. Not because he’s not a great governor or even a consummate politician. He’s both. It’s more because he has yet to be placed under the full weight and scope of the dishonest left-wing MSM. They’ll court him until they’re ready to pounce on him and destroy him. That’s when we’ll see the true Ron DeSantis; and not before that. This point only being contingent upon whether or not he actually decides to declare his candidacy for 2024. I myself would highly advise him to take a pass. Timing is everything. Ron DeSantis will find his political gold in 4 more years if he’s patient. He’ll have more support than he’ll know what to do with. In the meantime. We all need to be skeptical of any and all potential connections that these political candidates may have to the establishment. They’re not our friends. In fact; they despise us, and our desire to have control over who leads our nation.?✍️
