A few years ago, a group of like-minded people came together to begin a journey together.
We sadly saw that the internet had become everything that it was never supposed to be...Boring, predictable and dominated by a monopoly that used terms like friends and promises to not be evil, as a smokescreen for unethical practices and questionable business tactics. It might be said that the level of "unethical and questionable" activity is subject to interpretation or opinion but it certainly cannot be denied that an absolutely boring, pointless digital landscape forged by negativity and selfish corporate interests was the result.
We wanted to help people "Take Back The Net" and give people the opportunity to truly take charge of their own privacy, their own creativity and their own choices again.
The Pop Ecosystem comprised of social media, search technology and other innovative solutions is the result.
Every component of our efforts to Pop The Planet with positive energy, creative expression and innovation was built as a labor of love by a team of American and Canadian visionaries. Our primary research and development house was in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida.
We make no secret that we think the current state of "online search" is a disappointment. We won't ignore the fact that social media monoliths have exploited personal data and manipulated people and even the truth, in many instances.
We also sincerely believe that certain large 'tech companies' have stagnated innovation and creativity on the internet.
We sincerely believe that these "tech" companies have demonstrated unethical and manipulative businesss practices - and we're not saying anything that you can't read in the news almost every day.
Any opinion we have is simply the result of our own personal experiences and what we saw the media report every day. That's precisely why we said there has to be alternatives for people who value their privacy and still believe in the integrity of creativity and business to come together and provide viable alternatives for people.
We believe in the power of YOU and our development philosophy is a direct reflection of that.
In short, we're here to make the internet fun again.
We're not here to criticize or condemn any other company, we just want you to understand what motivated us to start a journey together.
But of course it all depends on community too.
We're here to provide you a safe haven from data mining and other privacy intrusive methodologies developed by marketing firms to turn you into commodity.
There is absolutely NO data mining in the Pop Ecosystem.
There is absolutely NO individually targeted messaging or advertising in the Pop Ecosystem.
You are not a product to us, you are valued and respected individual who has the right to creative expression and privacy within a gated, members only community.
We don't track you and we don't target you - and we most certainly don't allow anyone else to do that either.
We don't share your information with ANY third-party and we most certainly don't use tired social engineering tricks or mood manipulation methods to con you into getting some warped version of the real world.
